LE ROUX

Genre : Pomp Rock
Country : USA
Description : Originally called the Jeff Pollard band, Le Roux, out of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, went from a country tainted rock band, to near pomp classic, in the space of one album.
The difference between “Keep The Fire Burning” and “Up” is phenomenal!
And needless to say “Up” was in the right direction, and would eventually lead to the full-blown classic “So Fired Up”, which had ex Trillion and solo (as David London) vocalist Dennis 'Fergie' Fredericksen.
As far as vocalists go Le Roux, at one point, did have ex Strangeways Terry Brock
fronting the band, recording one song “Back in America”, used for the end titles of Chevy Chase movie, National Lampoons European Vacation.
This song can be found as a bonus on one of the “So Fired Up” reissues. (there’s been a few).
In fact all the albums have reissued at one time or another at home or in Japan, so finding a copy shouldn’t be too hard.
Le Loux also have a couple of "Live" albums "Ain't nothin but a Gris Gris" and "Aor Live", obviously if you are an aor fan...go for the latter, otherwise you'll end up all a gumbo!
Note* Sugarcreek covered “Let me be your fantasy” on their debut “Live at the Roxy”, which can be found on Le Rouxs “UP”.
Peters and Odom would link up with a pre Rokbox , Setton and Engeran and form Absolute Zero releasing one good album entitled “Never Surrender”.
Fredericksen would join Toto for “Isolation”. He would then release two albums with Ricky Phillips (Frederiksen/Phillips, Empire,1995) and Tommy Denander (Frederiksen Denander-Baptism by Fire), and feature on the Mecca debut, as well as other albums by bands like Radioactive and Northern Light, releasing a second solo "Equilibrium" in 1999, on MTM. (first was using the pseudonym David London)
