| Description : | With their roots in the late 60's, Stonebolt did not really hit their stride until the late 70's, and a name change from Perth Amboy certainly helped their cause.
"New Set of Changes" is there most highly regarded album by many, and in truth was their "heaviest". I use the term loosely, as this album was pomp rock, compared to their others which were more west coast, country pop, and in truth a little too soft for my ears.
But even if these albums were featherweight, they sure new how to right a good song, highlighted by the chart breaking "I Will Still Love You" (#29 US) and "Love Struck" (#70
US).
There is a CD compilation available entitled "Regeneration" which is a best of, plus a couple of new songs.
Ray Roper issued an excellent solo album 1995 entitled "I'm A Fighter".
John Webster left Stonebolt to join pop rockers Red Rider, and was replaced by Nitikman, for "Princess".
